Location : Rapid City, SD (in office)

Type : Part-Time (approx. 20-25 hrs / wk)

Our team is passionate about advocating for tribal sovereignty, protecting natural resources, and advancing the economic, cultural, and legal rights of Native communities. We are seeking an Administrative Assistant to join our team and contribute to our mission of empowering tribal nations.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Manage general office operations including scheduling, correspondence, and file organization.
  • Coordinate internal and external communications, including drafting emails and managing phone calls.
  • Process incoming mail and handle basic office supply management.
  • Maintain electronic and physical filing systems, ensuring efficient document retrieval.
  • Support attorneys and paralegals with administrative tasks, including printing, mailing, document formatting, and basic research.
  • Assist with calendar management and meeting coordination.
  • Build and maintain relationships with tribal clients, reflecting respect for and understanding of Native cultural values.

Qualifications :

  • Minimum of 2 years of administrative experience , preferably in a legal setting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), Adobe, and general office technology.
  • Experience with electronic filing systems and document management.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Commitment to serving tribal communities and respecting tribal sovereignty.
