Job Summary
The Bridges Transitional Living Program offers safe housing and supportive services to homeless youth (ages 17-22), probation and state ward youth (ages 17-19) and pregnant and parenting youth who are homeless (ages 18-24), for whom independent living is identified as the service goal.
CEDARS Street Outreach Services (SOS) provides street-based assistance to runaway, homeless, and at-risk youth in the cities of Lincoln and Omaha, Nebraska.

The Assistant Program Director will assist with supervision and administrative functions as assigned by the Program Director. The Assistant Program Director shall supervise direct care staff and be responsible for related administrative functions. The Assistant Program Director shall perform direct care functions and assist the Program Director with the day-to-day operations of the program.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the oversight of daily operations for runaway and homeless youth programs including Street Outreach and the Youth Opportunity Center, Prevention, and Transitional Living. Coordinate quality services for youth and young adults in assigned programs. Be responsible for ensuring that the program environment is safe, trauma-informed, developmentally appropriate and culturally sensitive.
- In collaboration with Human Resources, be responsible for the hiring, training, supervision and evaluation of the program staff.
- Along with the Program Director, monitor monthly census, revenue and expenses for the program.
- Assist with reporting as required for all contractual obligations.
- Maintain positive relationships with referral sources, parents/legal guardians, and community partners.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.
- Adhere to all policies and procedures of CEDARS.
- Maintain confidentiality of clients served by this organization and professional boundaries in the provision of services. Treat all clients with dignity and respect.
