Join Cenovus Energy as a Downstream Pressure Equipment Integrity Process Technology subject matter expert, leading the development and implementation of integrity programs that ensure regulatory compliance, protect assets, and uphold safety standards. Working closely with engineering, operations, and leadership, the SME provides strategic technical guidance to minimize operational risk and deliver up to $50M/year in value through reduced losses, optimized spending, and efficient turnarounds. Preference to individuals who currently reside or can relocate to Dublin, OH, or any of the US Cenovus Refineries. (Lima, OH; Toledo, OH; Superior, WI)

What you’ll do:
- Develop and maintain corporate-level mechanical integrity policies, standards, and procedures.
- Provide technical leadership on mechanical integrity initiatives, including equipment inspections, failure analysis, and fitness-for-service evaluations.
- Establish and implement risk-based inspection methodologies for critical fixed equipment, tanks, and piping systems.
- Ensure compliance with relevant mechanical integrity standards and regulations across all facilities.
- Lead technical training programs and mentor Mechanical Integrity Managers to meet corporate and regulatory standards.
- Engage in industry committees to acquire an understanding of standard methodologies and regulatory updates.
- Legally authorized to work in the US
- 20 years of downstream technical
- 10 years in mechanical integrity programs for refining, petrochemicals, energy (power and nuclear), or upstream oil and gas assets.
- Proven experience in developing and maintaining mechanical integrity systems
- Outstanding skills in risk assessments and inspection methodologies.
- Strong leadership qualities with the ability to mentor and train team members
- Ability to successfully implement compliance and auditing processes
- Effective communicator with a collaborative approach to problem-solving
