Job Summary
The Centennial Academy Associate Teacher will utilize current strategies and theories to plan, organize and implement instructional strategies for Centennial Academy students through a Project-based Inquiry Learning environment steeped in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics) instruction.

The Centennial Academy Associate Teacher will utilize current strategies and theories to plan, organize and implement instructional strategies for Centennial Academy students through a Project-based Inquiry Learning environment steeped in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics) instruction.
Summary of Essential Job Functions
- Provides content-related and appropriate instruction based on Centennial Place Academy’s PBIL and STEAM curriculum
- Integrates intentional technology into classroom instruction
- Actively participates and utilizes professional learning, specifically in the PBIL and STEM fields to support CPA’s innovation
- Provides classroom environment which promotes active learning in subject area
- Exhibits knowledge of performance-based instructions and assessment
- Works with parents/guardians in all aspects of the student's educational program
- Prepares adequately for responsibilities to be assumed when absent
- Follows all county, state, and federal policies and procedures
- Follows professional ethics in all work-related activities
- Avoids behaviors which detract from staff morale
- Builds a classroom structure where challenge is valued and expected
- Believes that successful outcomes are possible for all students
- Provides assistance to teachers with classroom organization, management and instructional strategies
- Works individually with assigned students to ensure that each student benefits from the assignment or task. Uses learning tools, including computer-based training
- Assists teachers with the preparation of boards and wall materials as it relates to daily lesson plan
- Leads large and small group instruction, grades tests, makes copies and prints materials for classes
- Administer and/or support the state and local standardized testing processes and policies
- Other Duties as Assigned
Minimum requirements:
- Associates Degree or higher preferred
- Georgia Paraprofessional Certification required, or must be able to obtain
- Works Collaboratively within curriculum and instruction to design, deploy project-based learning and STEAM instruction
- Effective Communication skills, both verbal and written
Abilities required:
- Normal School related working conditions to be expected, i.e. standing, sitting, etc..
- Collaboratively work with others in project planning, curriculum development and delivery
