Center for Human Development, Inc. is seeking a full-time Intake Specialist. This position is responsible for performing a variety of client account maintenance and assessment of financial resources.
The Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalency.
- Multitasking, strong organizational skills, problem solving skills, system thinker and customer service skills.
- Ability to perform Public Health and Behavioral Health screenings.
- Thorough knowledge of program eligibility such as vaccines for children, indigent funds, etc.
- Work well in a team setting, and demonstrate assertive yet tactful communication skills in working with internal and external customers.
- Must have the willingness to put the customer first in everything you do.
- Must possess a valid Oregon Driver’s license and pass a criminal history check and drug screening.
The Job Duties:
- Gathers information necessary to initiate records and services.
- Customer contact daily.
- Direct client to proper department for services needed.
- Initial assessment of client financial status, program eligibility and negotiating payment plans when needed.
- Insurance authorization and monitoring compliance.
- Verifying insurance benefits to make sure clients have not exhausted their benefits.
- Works closely with the Public Health Team, while acting as back-up for Behavioral Health Intake.
