The Scheduling Coordinator is responsible for greeting patients, answering phones, scheduling appointments, collecting patient financial responsibility, and preparing patient charts. This role requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, excellent organizational skills, and a friendly, inviting personality.
Job Description
- Provide concierge-level customer service while interacting with patients, referring offices, and team members over the phone, in person, or via electronic communication.
- Schedule appointments to optimize patient satisfaction, provider time, and effective use of exam and treatment rooms.
- Prepare daily schedules for each provider and maintain reception areas in a neat and orderly condition.
- Maintain professional relationships with referring offices and ensure confidentiality of all information in accordance with HIPAA.
Candidate Qualifications
We require a high school diploma or equivalent and one year of customer service experience. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, basic office skills, and a good understanding of dental terminology.
