Job Overview:
Visions for the Future Program is seeking a committed Part-time Reentry Outreach Specialist to support male returning citizens (ages 16-30) in their transition back into the community. This role requires using restorative justice practices, fostering community connections, and providing individualized support to participants.
Ideal candidates will be passionate about working with system-impacted individuals, have experience in mentorship, and demonstrate a deep commitment to supporting individuals in their personal growth and reintegration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Works closely with the Program Director and team to ensure all program goals are met, adhering to deadlines and objectives.
- Builds relationships with community partners (Non-Profits, Businesses, Restaurants, etc.).
- Provide individualized mentoring and guidance, offering emotional, social, and practical support.
- Collaborate with participants to develop personalized reintegration plans, focusing on job readiness, personal development, and life skills.
- Conduct accurate data entry to track participant progress and maintain program records.
- Work closely with the Program Director and team to ensure all program goals are met, adhering to deadlines and objectives.
- Conduct outreach activities
- Recruit new participants and market program
- Attend regular team meetings and contribute to program evaluations and development.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience working with system-impacted youth or reentry programs.
- Familiarity with restorative justice practices and their application in a reentry context.
- Proven ability to mentor and guide young men through personal and societal challenges.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to facilitate groups and maintain a respectful, supportive environment.
- Strong organizational skills to manage documentation, data entry, and reporting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data management systems.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Criminal Justice, Psychology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience in trauma-informed care and working with individuals experiencing post-incarceration challenges.
- Previous experience facilitating restorative justice circles or group interventions.
- Knowledge of community resources and services available to support reentry (housing, employment, mental health, etc.).

Position Details:
- Part-time: 20 hours per week with a mix of direct outreach and administrative tasks.
- Split role: 50% direct engagement with participants (circle facilitation, mentoring) and 50% data entry and program support.
- Reports to: Program Director
- Salary: $25,000-$27,000 commensurate with experience and hours. This is a part time 20 hour a week position. Some evenings and weekends required.
