Position Overview: Center for Volunteer & Nonprofit Leadership (CVNL) is looking for a dynamic, collaborative and goal-oriented individual to join our Volunteer Services team working in partnership with nonprofits, local government and other partners as well as local volunteers to promote volunteerism across the four counties CVNL serves. The Senior Program Coordinator, under supervision of the VS Manager, will have a focus with Solano County to serve as the County's primary point of contact for services related to volunteerism and our program contract with Solano County along with contributions to the larger Volunteer Services efforts in Napa, Marin and Sonoma counties. The successful candidate will have the ability to work independently on administrative projects, from conception to completion.
Primary Responsibilities & Duties:
Web-Based Portal
Ability to perform computer work. In addition to basic computer desk work, the employee is required to stand, walk, reach above shoulders, and climb or balance. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. Occasionally work outside, driving in a variety of road and weather conditions. Occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions.

Expected Hours of Work/Travel:
Ability to occasionally travel throughout Solano County and North Bay Area, commonly working out of the Solano office with occasional nights and weekends to support events/meetings. Standard Mileage Reimbursements apply.

The budgeted starting salary that CVNL reasonably expects to pay is $28.85-$31.25 hourly depending on prior experience. This takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, analysis of internal equity, and external market comparisons for similar positions in similar geographic locations and size. Offers are determined based on final candidate qualifications and experience.

Primary Responsibilities & Duties:
Web-Based Portal
- In partnership with other Volunteer Services staff, Create and facilitate database portal trainings and other workshops as needed, including marketing, set-up, and managing logistics, to increase the number of portal users across all counties serving as a point of contact for and focus on Solano County
- Update web pages and portals and complete administrative portal tasks, using WordPress pr similar programs
- Maintain aspects of the database portal, suggesting process improvements and implementing new updates and uses as they become available
- Collaborate with the database portal administrators and staff on all technology related policies and procedures
- Work with the VS Manager & Marketing Team to create, design and manage social media and collateral materials to foster relationships with volunteer groups (nonprofits, county offices, corporations, faith-based organizations, etc.)
- Establish and strengthen relationships with partnering nonprofits, local government entities and CVNL member agencies by conducting information sessions, attending community events, and implementing marketing and communications efforts
- Track program information including volunteers and their hours, project leaders and project opportunities
- Assist the VS Manager in researching, creating, and implementing strategic policies and procedures
- Generate and compile quarterly reports, metrics and outcomes
- Provide volunteer referrals and nonprofit technical assistance as needed
- As requested, coordinate with the VS Manager, assist in the promotion of Volunteer Services by representing CVNL at relevant community forums and events
- Maintain an updated calendar of activities in support of meeting Solano County contract deliverables
- Collaborating with VS staff, plan and implement Days of Service, tracking program information including volunteers and their hours, project leaders and project opportunities
- Submit project plans, budget, outcomes and reports for each Day of Service for by VS Manager
- Assist in building capacity of the Solano VOAD executive committee; recruit members; facilitate regular meetings; build organizational infrastructure
- Schedule Meetings and send out reminders.
- Maintain Minutes of Meetings and ensure they are posted on Solano VOAD Website
- Coordinate disaster preparedness education initiatives
- Provide administrative and logistical support during disasters in support of Solano OES
- Participate in organizational/departmental staff meetings and community events.
- Work in tandem with the VS Manager to provide reports detailing contract deliverables and outcomes
- Other duties as assigned
- Experience working with nonprofit organizations and familiarity with the nonprofit community in Solano County
- Strong technology skills including knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), CRM/Salesforce(preferred) and comfort in learning new technology for data and project management.
- Experience in planning and implementing community events
- Prior knowledge of program coordination and procedures
- 3-5 years administrative and/or programmatic experience preferred
- Bilingual in Spanish highly preferred.
- CERT certified highly preferred
- Knowledge of budgeting and reporting
- Excellent problem-solving skills; able to maintain professional demeanor in a fast-paced environment
- Strong written and verbal communications skills and high attention to detail.
