The Center for Women and Families – Contract Therapist

The Center for Women and Families is looking for warm, caring, and empathetic individuals driven by a desire to help others! The Contract Therapist role helps to move toward our vision of thriving survivors in safe communities.
The Center for Women and Families provides free services to people of all identities who have experienced intimate partner and sexual violence. We help our clients and their dependent children become survivors through trauma-informed advocacy. Our goal is to mitigate the impact of their trauma by reducing their risk factors and building resiliency. We serve anyone in Jefferson, Bullitt, Spencer, Shelby, Oldham, Henry, and Trimble counties in Kentucky and Floyd and Clark counties in Indiana.
The Contract Therapist is responsible for facilitating individual, group, and family counseling with survivors of intimate partner and/or sexual violence, including children, adolescents, and adults, using solution-focused, brief, evidence-based therapeutic interventions.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Gathers information for intake assessment. Conducts intake interviews and completes individual assessments of client's status and required comprehensive services.
- Conducts brief therapeutic interventions to facilitate individual and group sessions, crisis intervention, and therapy groups with survivors of intimate partner and/or sexual violence.
- Maintains knowledge of current methodology and treatment trends and demonstrates proficiency with clients.
- Maintain certification/licensure/supervision expectations.
- Participate in case conferences, Center meetings, and trainings as assigned/requested.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in social work, counseling, or related field.
- Licensed to practice clinical therapy in Kentucky and/or Indiana. Must be fully licensed, or be working toward full licensure providing your own supervisor. Pay determined by licensure status and years of experience.
- Experience with trauma-informed care is preferred.
- Fluency in languages other than English are a plus.
- Developed sense of empathy.
- Self-starter.
- Organizational skills.
