Job Description
This part-time position involves providing interpreter services in a variety of settings, including doctor's offices and clinics. You will work closely with medical staff to facilitate communication between patients and healthcare providers. Your technical and clerical skills will also be essential in supporting the delivery of quality patient care.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent required; one year of experience in a medical setting preferred
- English/Spanish language medical terminology exam must be passed prior to hire
- Oral proficiency testing in English and Spanish through ACTFL with a score of 3.5 /Advanced-Mid Level required
- CPR certification required within 60 days of hire
- Registered in the State of MN as an interpreter within 90 days of hire
- Completion of 40-hour interpreter training course through Bridging the Gap or TCI within one year of hire
