Responsibilities
- Conduct insurance verifications for patient appointments and procedures.
- Maintain up-to-date medical records in compliance with HIPAA standards.
- Assist with coding for dental procedures to ensure accurate billing.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to resolve any discrepancies in insurance claims.
- Help with Front Desk responsibilities
- Manage managed care contracts and maintain relationships with insurance companies.
- Provide support in the preparation of reports related to insurance claims and patient billing.
- Stay informed about changes in insurance policies, coding practices, and regulations.
Experience
- Previous experience in a dental office is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology and insurance verification processes.
- Experience handling medical records and understanding HIPAA compliance.
- Ability to work effectively in an office environment, demonstrating strong organizational skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with patients and insurance representatives.
