What are the responsibilities and job description for the Financial Aid Specialist position at Central Christian College of the Bible?
The Financial Aid Specialist assists in the College’s mission to educate biblical servants for a faithful life of Kingdom ministry by helping the students with their financial aid and scholarships. The Financial Aid Specialist works with the Director of Financial Aid in the filing, monitoring, and maintaining of all student aid. This includes, but is not limited to, Federal Student Aid, State of Missouri aid, institutional aid, outside scholarships and grants, and Vocational Rehabilitation and Veterans Aid programs.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Director of Financial Aid in all issues of compliance that are directly related to individual students and the student body at large.
- The following is a listing of the duties of the Financial Aid Specialist
- Awarding and certifying Federal Student Aid and Institutional Aid
- Communicating with students regarding their aid
- Maintain student’s financial aid files
- Help Maintain NSLDS updates
- Maintain Aggregate Loan List
- Counsel students and parents regarding the financial aid programs and eligibility requirements
- Development and maintenance of web-based forms as well as other documents to be used in the Financial Aid Office. (With the approval of the Director)
- Work with Students in the Default Management Program
- Exit Interviews
- Helping former students who are delinquent on their student loans find solution to regain good standing
Other Responsibilities
- Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION/POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred and/or equivalent work experience
- Ability to use computer software such as Microsoft office, Student information system software, Google suite, etc.

Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
