Central Heating and Plumbing Co. Inc. family owned for over 55 years is looking for an IT Support Technician to join our team at our corporate headquarters in New Castle, PA. This position will focus on enhancing, maintaining and securing our business’s computer network. You will be analyzing our network’s performance and providing IT support to our system and team. No shift, after-hours or weekend work required. EOE.
Job Duties:
- Installing, configuring and updating network software, as well as maintaining hardware and network devices
- Performing diagnostic tests and repairs, as well as developing data archiving, backup and retrieval procedures.
- Maintaining network security
- Troubleshooting outages and resolving network related issues
- Manage computer systems including hardware and software installations
- Offer help desk support to resolve technical issues promptly
- Support mobile devices connectivity and configurations
- Assist with desktop support for hardware and software issues
- Maintaining vehicular GPS systems of field technicians
- Maintaining office phone system
- Optimizing online presence maintain and modify the website and social media
- Setting up and configuring new user accounts and workstations
- Assisting with the setup and support of peripheral devices such as printers and scanners
- Maintaining an inventory of IT equipment and software licenses
Basic Qualifications Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology or related field or equivalent experience
- Basic understanding of computer networks, hardware and software
- Basic knowledge of network infrastructure and security principles
- Preferred experience as a network support technician
- Exceptional organization and time management skills
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and customer service skills
- Knowledge of mobile devices connectivity and configurations
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and procedures
