What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Chief of Training position at CENTRAL KITSAP FIRE AND RESCUE?
At Central Kitsap Fire & Rescue, training isn’t just a requirement—it’s part of who we are. We are a training-driven organization, and we are looking for a leader who can help us develop and refine training initiatives as we continue to grow.
This role requires someone who understands not just how to train but how to build training programs that make an impact. We need a big-picture thinker—someone who can collaborate seamlessly with senior leadership to ensure our training programs are effective, sustainable, and aligned with our organization’s priorities.
We need a leader who knows the fire service inside and out, someone with experience who understands the challenges firefighters face and how to prepare them for success. Most importantly, we want someone who is willing to be part of a high performing team, always looking for ways to do things better, and eager to share ideas and push our organization forward.
This role is opening due to an internal leadership transition, and we are looking for someone who can bring fresh ideas while respecting the strong foundation already in place.
