Role Description: As a Social Services Professional with the Central Susquehanna Intermediate Unit, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality social services and health/nutrition education programs to families enrolled in our Head Start program. This position requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Tasks:
- • Conduct home visits to assess family needs and develop service plans
- • Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to ensure smooth transitions between school and home
- • Develop and maintain positive relationships with community partners to access resources and services
Requirements:
- • Bachelor's degree in social work, human services, family services, counseling or a related field; Associate degree and minimum three (3) years relevant full-time experience
- • Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment
- • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
