What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Nutritional Services position at Diakon Lutheran Social Ministries?

General Responsibilities:
- Planning, ordering and preparing meals for at-risk youth in a wilderness setting.
- Schedule is days with Thursday and Sunday being the days off.
- Responsible for managing the dietary operation of the assigned facility, overseeing the personnel engaged in preparing and serving food, and ensuring the compliance with established sanitation standards, personal hygiene, and health standards.
- Assists in the development of diets and menus to fulfill nutritional needs of the residents in accordance with the NSLP guidelines.
- Supervises youth in the preparation of meals and clean up in kitchen and dining areas as part of the school’s culinary program.
Education/Training: A high school diploma or equivalent; graduate of a state-approved course that provides 90 or more hours of classroom instruction in food service supervision; an Associate's degree in Food Service Management preferred.
Experience: A minimum two (2) years' experience in food service management, preferably in a long-term clinical care setting.
ADA: Ability to bend, stoop, sit, stand, reach and lift items weighing up to 50 lbs. ; visual and auditory skills.
