Position Overview
Join a highly regarded tertiary care hospital in Rochester New York as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to deliver exceptional care to patients in a fastpaced and dynamic environment. This position offers LPNs an excellent opportunity to develop professionally and enhance their skills especially for those transitioning to become Registered Nurses (RNs).
Shift Details
Schedule : Rotating Day / Night shifts.
Weekend Requirement : Every other weekend is required.
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care by taking your own assignments on medicalsurgical floors and other acute care units.
Deliver care aligned with the hospitals protocols including medication administration wound care monitoring patient conditions and documenting in the patients record.
Float to various departments as needed. If floated to ICU or ER responsibilities will involve assisting MSlevel patients or serving as helping hands.
Communicate effectively with RNs physicians and the interdisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care.
Qualifications
Required Education and Licensure :
Current and valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in New York State .
Active American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification .
Experience :
Minimum of 12 years of acute care hospital experience .
Skills and Attributes :
Strong critical thinking and time management skills to manage multiple patients effectively.
Ability to adapt quickly to changing circumstances and a diverse patient population.
Professionalism and a teamoriented mindset.

Additional Details
Floating Requirement : Floating is expected based on patient and staffing needs.
Contract Duration : 13 weeks starting in March
