Job Title : Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Acute Care Rotating Shifts

Position Overview
Join a highly regarded tertiary care hospital in Rochester, New York, as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to deliver exceptional care to patients in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. This position offers LPNs an excellent opportunity to develop professionally and enhance their skills, especially for those transitioning to become Registered Nurses (RNs).
Shift Details
Schedule : Rotating Day / Night shifts.
Weekend Requirement : Every other weekend is required.
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care by taking your own assignments on medical-surgical floors and other acute care units.
Deliver care aligned with the hospital's protocols, including medication administration, wound care, monitoring patient conditions, and documenting in the patient's record.
Float to various departments as needed. If floated to ICU or ER, responsibilities will involve assisting MS-level patients or serving as helping hands.
Communicate effectively with RNs, physicians, and the interdisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care.
Qualifications
Required Education and Licensure :
Current and valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in New York State .
Active American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification .
Experience :
Minimum of 1-2 years of acute care hospital experience .
Skills and Attributes :
Strong critical thinking and time management skills to manage multiple patients effectively.
Ability to adapt quickly to changing circumstances and a diverse patient population.
Professionalism and a team-oriented mindset.

Additional Details
Floating Requirement : Floating is expected based on patient and staffing needs.
Contract Duration : 13 weeks, starting in March
