Job Overview:
As a Rental Sales Representative, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with new and existing customers, identifying their equipment needs, and providing tailored rental solutions. In addition to driving rental sales, you will offer expert guidance on construction equipment, process rental orders, and ensure exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate is proactive, sales-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales and Rentals: Sell and rent construction equipment to new and existing clients in the construction and industrial sectors.
- Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, becoming a trusted advisor for all their equipment needs.
- Identify Customer Needs: Assess customer needs and recommend appropriate rental equipment solutions based on their requirements.
- Process Orders: Prepare quotes, contracts, and scheduling of rental orders while ensuring timely delivery and pickup of equipment.
- Collaboration: Work closely with logistics and service teams to ensure equipment availability and readiness for customers.
- Inventory Knowledge: Stay informed about the company’s equipment inventory, availability, and specifications to provide accurate recommendations to clients.
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, resolving any issues or concerns in a prompt and professional manner.
- Account Monitoring: Monitor and follow up on overdue accounts or equipment returns.
- Market Awareness: Stay updated on industry trends, competitor offerings, and construction market developments to enhance sales efforts.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, rental agreements, and sales activities.
- Site Visits: Conduct on-site visits to assess customer needs and offer tailored recommendations.
Qualifications:
- Proven sales experience, preferably in construction equipment rentals or a related field.
- Strong understanding of construction equipment and its applications (e.g., excavators, loaders, forklifts).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and rapport with customers.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in managing multiple tasks and priorities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Education and Experience:
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent. Related experience may substitute for educational requirements.
- Prior experience in construction, equipment sales, or rental operations is preferred.
