Century Group is partnering with our client, a real estate company, that is seeking a Property Accountant. The ideal candidate will have 5 years of experience within property accounting. The position will be responsible to perform full cycle accounting, financial reporting, audit assistance, and interaction with different departments. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting pay rate of $35.00 to $38.00 per hour

- Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reporting packages, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Record and review accrual and cash journal entries for proper financial reporting.
- Analyze and review operating statements, including preparing monthly income statement variance analysis.
- Perform Common Area Maintenance reconciliations and ensure compliance with lease agreements.
- Collaborate with property managers to address financial concerns and provide accounting support.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
- A Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in property accounting.
- Recent experience in residential or commercial real estate accounting.
- Proficiency in Yardi or other property management accounting software.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis.
- Strong analytical skills to review financial data and identify variances.
- Ability to manage multiple properties and meet reporting deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with property managers and internal teams.
- Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to solving accounting discrepancies.
- Experience with CAM reconciliations, lease accounting, and financial reporting in the real estate industry.
