We are seeking an experienced Interim Director of Human Resources to support a fast-paced manufacturing company during a period of growth and integration. This role is critical in managing the HR integration of recently acquired small companies, ensuring a smooth transition for employees and alignment of policies, systems, and culture.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HR leadership, experience with post-merger integration, and the ability to operate hands-on in a dynamic and evolving environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business leaders to assess organizational structures and talent needs across new and legacy teams.
- Partner with legal and compliance teams to ensure all employee-related documentation and processes meet federal and state regulations.
- Conduct HR due diligence on future acquisitions when needed.
- Oversee onboarding and communication plans to ensure a positive employee experience during transitions.
- Provide guidance to HR team members and local leadership during the integration process.
- Identify and address employee relations issues, acting as a trusted advisor to managers and employees.
- Lead change management initiatives and develop communications that support integration and cultural alignment.
Qualifications
- 10 years of progressive HR leadership experience, including experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Proven success leading HR integration during mergers or acquisitions.
- Deep knowledge of employment laws, HR systems, and organizational development.
- Strong communication and project management skills.
- Ability to build trust quickly and work effectively with cross-functional between subsidiaries and Corp HQ.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field required; Master’s or HR certification (e.g., SPHR, SHRM-SCP) preferred.
