Nature of Work
Provide direction of the day-to-day operations of all warehouse personnel and the transportation and maintenance of vehicles and equipment at the warehouse and fabrication shop.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate scheduling of all warehouse functions.
- Inspect deliveries for accuracy and damages.
- Assist management team with annual departmental budgets including capital equipment purchases.
- Provide overall direction to corporate shops including staffing, training, administration, performance review of personnel, and recommending promotion and transfer of staff.
- Manage the warehouse tool inventory program and train users on related software.
- Maintain knowledge of new and existing equipment and tool innovation.
- Direct procurement of tools and equipment for ongoing jobs via leasing, rental, or purchase options.
- Manage contract and price negotiations with suppliers.
- Ensure tool suppliers meet Company's minimum safety standards while maintaining consistent branding.
- Ensure all equipment and vehicles have current and necessary permits, licenses, titles, etc., and meet current safety standards as required by corporate policy, state or federal regulations, or client requirements.
- Manage, train, and provide support to team of BAS engineers.
- Communicates and supports goals to motivates team performance and productivity in alignment with the corporate strategic plan and individual development.
- Lead effective team meetings and recognize individual and team accomplishments.
- Review scheduling and work assignments to assist the team with effective resource management.
- Interview prospective employees and provide input to Department Manager regarding the best applicant based on skills, knowledge, and abilities to do the job.
- Conducts performance evaluations for assigned team.
- Review and approve direct reports’ timecards, time off requests, and expenses.
- Manage coaching/disciplinary related issues for direct reports, utilizing communication and conflict resolution.
- Promote the company safety culture and safety awareness throughout the company, projects, or office
- Maintain a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record which, per Company’s vehicle policy, allows operation of a company vehicle.
- Exercise initiative or, as directed, perform additional duties to meet the needs of the organization.

Education
- High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
Experience
- 2 years or more of related work experience required.
- Other technical experience such as military, public service, on the job training programs, etc. may meet this requirement as determined by local management
Physical Demands
- Requires occasional travel to job sites with periods of overnight travel
- Significant lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling
- Significant climbing and balancing
- Significant stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling
- Generally, the job requires 5% sitting, 60% walking, and 35% standing
- Significant time walking on construction sites.
- This position will be required to use a ladder and work at tall heights (i.e. roof top, access ladders, scissor-lift, scaffolding)
Safety-sensitive position that requires extreme focus and attention to safety hazards and safety
protocols.
