Employment Type: Full-Time
Starting Pay: $53K - $63K/annually starting, depending on experience
What is the primary location of this position: 1915 S. Stoughton Rd, Madison, WI 53716 (on-site)
Standard Hours: Monday – Friday, 7:30am – 4:30pm, with additional hours as needed

What is the primary function of this position?
The Accounting Specialist will assist with all facets of Finance including but not limited to: Accounts Receivables, Budgeting, Forecasting, Expense Management, Cash Management, Taxes, Internal Audits, Cost Accounting, Fixed Assets, and overall Accounting functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Generate A/R invoices ensuring contractual compliance
- Generate Purchase orders for internal approval & tracking
- Manage and accept all incoming payments from customers
- Receive and verify incoming bills, log into accounting system ensuring proper job costing, accounting, and ensure timely payment
- Manage employee reimbursements; review & verify documents
- Manage credit card entries, reconciliations, and proper job costing
- Assist Director of Finance with cash flow entries
- Assist Director of Finance with Budgeting & Forecasting
- Generate Payable reports and other reports as needed
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a Similar Field
- Advanced competency in financial management and accounting software
- In-depth knowledge of accounting standards and industry regulations
- QuickBooks Online experience
- Extensive experience in corporate finances, auditing, and performance management.
- Superb organizational and time management abilities
- Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills
- Demonstrated assertiveness and self-confidence
- Demonstrated tenacity to investigate and resolve open issues with payables, payroll, supplements
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, meet time sensitive deadlines and organize workload with general supervision
- Excellent written and verbal communication, portraying a high degree of professionalism
- High level attention to detail with demonstrated critical thinking skills
