Job Responsibilities
The Rotating Equipment Engineer ensures plant efficiency by maintaining machinery and improving reliability. Key responsibilities include analyzing data from condition monitoring rounds, offering recommendations, collaborating with the maintenance team to ensure machinery repairs and documentation, and updating critical maintenance procedures for rotating equipment. The successful candidate will also coordinate rotating equipment safety and reliability audits, report MTBR for rotating equipment, and implement plans to enhance reliability and reduce maintenance costs.
Education and Experience
To succeed in this role, you will need a Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, 5 years of experience in rotating equipment engineering within a chemical plant or refinery, and specific expertise with rotating and reciprocating machinery practices. Strong knowledge of industrial codes and standards (API, ASME, ANSI, OSHA, State) is also essential.
