The Rotating Equipment Engineer plays a critical role in ensuring plant efficiency by maintaining machinery and improving reliability. Key responsibilities include tracking reliability statistics, implementing solutions, and developing maintenance plans. This position requires strong expertise in rotating equipment, including piping systems and stationary equipment, as well as experience with failure analysis, vibration analysis, and precision alignment.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will need a Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, 5 years of experience in rotating equipment engineering within a chemical plant or refinery, and specific expertise with rotating and reciprocating machinery practices. Strong knowledge of industrial codes and standards (API, ASME, ANSI, OSHA, State) is also essential.
