Certified Flooring Installation is currently seeking a dedicated Bookkeeper to help us manage our financial records as we undertake a nationwide expansion. In this critical role, you’ll be a vital part of our finance team, working to ensure the smooth operation of our company’s financial engine as well as assisting in formulating support for our ongoing expansion.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Assist the company Controller with the following:
- Maintain accurate books on accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and daily financial entries and reconciliations.
- Prepare financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information.
- Regularly maintain detailed records of accounting transactions.
- Perform monthly bank settlements.
- Stay compliant with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements.
- Assist with budget preparation and financial planning processes.
- Use bookkeeping software, spreadsheets, and databases proficiently.
- Handle sensitive or confidential information with honesty and integrity.
Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:
- Proven bookkeeping experience.
- Solid understanding of basic accounting principles.
- Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process.
- Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software (QuickBooks, Sage, etc.).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- BS degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration is advantageous.
