CFS Brands is looking for a creative and skilled Internal Communications Specialist to join our team reporting to the Director of Human Resources. In this role, you will be responsible for crafting clear, engaging, and impactful internal communications across various platforms to keep employees informed, motivated, and aligned with the company’s goals and culture. The ideal candidate will have excellent writing skills and some graphic design background, enabling them to create visually appealing and compelling content for emails, newsletters, intranet, presentations, and more.
KEY RESULT AREAS:
- Write and edit engaging, clear, and concise internal communication materials, including newsletters, emails, announcements, intranet posts, and company updates.
- Ensure content is aligned with the company’s tone, voice, and brand while effectively conveying key messages to different employee groups.
- Collaborate with various departments (HR, Marketing, Operations, etc.) to gather necessary information and produce relevant communication materials.
- Design visually appealing graphics, infographics, and visuals to accompany internal communications, ensuring consistency with the company’s brand guidelines.
- Create promotional materials for internal events, announcements, and campaigns (e.g., digital posters, flyers, banners).
- Utilize graphic design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, etc.) to produce high-quality visuals for digital and print platforms.
- Develop communication strategies that foster employee engagement, build company culture, and promote organizational values.
- Create compelling stories and highlight achievements, employee milestones, and team successes to enhance internal morale.
- Collaborate with HR and leadership teams to communicate key messages related to employee engagement, wellness programs, and company initiatives.
- Monitor and report on the effectiveness of communications to ensure they are engaging and achieving their intended impact.
- Manage the distribution of communications across various platforms, such as the company intranet, email, digital signage, and other collaboration tools.
- Ensure communications are timely, consistent, and reach the appropriate internal audiences.
- Assist in planning and promoting internal campaigns and events, such as town halls, team-building activities, and corporate social responsibility initiatives.
- Design and write materials that promote awareness and encourage participation in internal programs and events.
- Gather feedback from employees to assess the effectiveness of communication initiatives and make recommendations for improvements.
- Stay updated on best practices and trends in internal communications, as well as new tools and technologies to enhance communication efforts.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
- 2-4 years of experience in internal communications, corporate communications, or a similar role.
- Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills with the ability to craft engaging content for different internal audiences.
- Experience in creating both written and visual content for digital platforms.
- Familiarity with internal communication tools and platforms (e.g., intranet, email, etc.).
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally with different teams.
