CNC Field Service Engineer

Our CNC Manufacturing Client in Mundelein, IL is seeking a new CNC Field Service Engineer to join their team! Work for a company that is trusted, hard-working and looking to continue growing.

Job Duties :

  • Conduct field service at customer facilities, ensuring the proper functioning and maintenance of CNC tool cutter grinding machines.
  • Provide comprehensive support to customers onsite, by phone, and via email, addressing inquiries and troubleshooting issues promptly and effectively.
  • Expect up to 80% travel within the USA, Canada, and Mexico to support customer needs.
  • Schedule : Monday - Friday, 8 : 00am-5 : 00pm. Potential for travel outside work hours.
  • Collaborative and friendly environment

Ideal Candidates :

  • Technical field service experience with CNC grinding machinery, encompassing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic repairs.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting machine problems both on-site and remotely, including answering customer inquiries regarding maintenance, mechanical / electrical drawings, and part identification.
  • Experience with the installation of CNC grinding machines at customer facilities.
  • Hands-on" individual with a strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to interpret and comprehend electrical, mechanical, and other technical drawings.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical and fluid power circuits is preferred.
