Under the direction of the Executive Director, Extended Learning & Community Education overseeing the Youth Summer Swim Program.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Supervise staff and manage the scheduling, training, and oversight, as directedDevelop, implement, and oversee the Youth Summer Swim Program, establish strong relationships with the community and participantsSchedule and coordinate programs and events on campusServe as the main contact for parent/family inquiries about the Youth Summer ProgramSwim with proficiency and enduranceSupervise and develop all marketing for all Youth Summer Swim ProgramsSupervise all required training for the aquatic Youth Summer Swim ProgramEffectively enforce pool rules and policiesAssures effective and efficient use of budgeted funds, personnel, materials, facilities, and timePlans, develops and implements aquatic programs and supervises staff in the implementation of the programsPrepares content for publication of a variety of brochures, calendars, letters, posters, news releases, flyers, and related communication promotion aquatic programs and facilitiesResponds to public inquiries about summer programs made by telephone, correspondence, or during public meetingsPromotes interest and provides information regarding Youth Summer Swim Programs to community organizations, community service groups, and other departments, and the general publicAssures the facility complies with local, state, and federal regulationsSpend time on the pool deck regularly (i.e., fill in for pool attendants, lifeguards)Supervise and oversee the scheduling of lifeguards and water instructorsPerform a variety of miscellaneous duties such as answering the phone, running errands, picking up supplies needed for activities helping set up for classes, events, etc.Responds to concerns and complaints with possible solutions in a timely mannerManage safety training and oversight for the program

SPECIAL CONDITIONS Evening and weekend hours are required. Positions in this classification may be required to work varied hours according to need. CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENTThis is a temporary professional expert position. Effective date of employment will be as soon as a successful candidate is selected and a mutually agreed upon date is determined. The hourly rate is $45.00/hour. Being able and ready to work onsite at a Chaffey facility or location is an essential function of this job. Being able and ready to work in-person with Chaffey students, Chaffey employees, or other members of the Chaffey community/Chaffey partners/Chaffey contractors is an essential function of this job.
