Overview:
Elevate your career with CHAGEE as a Staff Accountant, where you’ll support our growing U.S. accounting operations by managing daily financial processes with precision and consistency. Reporting to the U.S. Accounting Manager and working closely with the Senior Accountant, you’ll play a key role in accounts payable, expense management, transactional accounting, and month-end reporting across our expanding retail locations.
What you'll do:
Accounts Payable & Expense Management
- Process vendor invoices, ensuring accurate coding, timely approval, and data integrity.
- Maintain the AP aging report and ensure scheduled, timely vendor payments.
- Manage employee expense reimbursements using established platforms and workflows.
- Review and reconcile corporate credit card transactions, ensuring proper documentation and GL coding.
Cash & Transactional Accounting
- Perform daily and weekly reconciliations for store-level bank and cash transactions.
- Support weekly payment processing, including preparing remittance details.
- Monitor and manage the accounting and finance shared inbox; address or route inquiries with professionalism and urgency.
Month-End Support
- Prepare recurring journal entries such as prepaid amortization and expense accruals.
- Assist the Senior Accountant in executing month-end close activities, including account reconciliations.
- Help facilitate intercompany reconciliations and ensure proper documentation.
Administrative and Operational Support
- Maintain organized, audit-ready financial records in accordance with internal control policies.
- Assist in onboarding new vendors and managing vendor database updates.
- Collaborate with operations and supply chain teams to ensure accuracy in financial documentation and workflows.
- Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in a rapidly evolving environment.

Experience you need to be successful:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 1–3 years of relevant accounting experience, ideally in a retail, food & beverage, or fast-paced growth company.
- Solid understanding of AP, employee reimbursements, and basic transactional accounting.
- Strong proficiency in Excel and experience using accounting platforms such as NetSuite, Restaurant365, or similar tools.
- Experience with modern accounting tools and platforms.
- Exposure to multi-entity or multi-location environments preferred.
- Familiarity with retail operations and store-level transactions preferred.
- Excellent organizational skills and effective communication style.
- High attention to detail with a consistent and dependable work ethic.

The expected base salary range for this position is $75,000-$90,000. Your actual base compensation will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on considerations including (but not limited to): relevant knowledge and experience for this position, skills, education, certifications and more.
