What You Will Be Accountable For
- Independently manage the preparation, submission, and renewal of complex facility-level license applications to ensure compliance with jurisdictional regulations across all Walgreens business units.
- Research and analyze jurisdiction regulations and business practices at local, state, and federal levels to meet licensing requirements, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
- Support the team's efforts to manage thousands of license renewals and streamline the licensing process to improve efficiency.
- Organize, search, and process licensing documents, including attaching and sending files to stores, handling renewals, and completing miscellaneous project work.
- Collaborate with Licensing leadership, business partners, and service providers to understand and fulfill business needs, leveraging negotiation skills and industry expertise to address and resolve issues.
- Use independent judgment to proactively identify and resolve licensing-related challenges, supporting internal and external audits as required.
- Train, coach, and mentor Licensing team members, providing assistance with application processes, jurisdiction requirements, and best practices.
- Serve as a key representative of the Licensing team, interfacing with jurisdictions and escalating complex licensing issues as necessary.
- High School Diploma/GED and 10 years of experience in an office environment.
- Prior licensing experience, particularly in a retail environment, is required.
- Strong knowledge of licensing workflows and compliance processes for facilities.
- Experience interpreting and processing business-related forms (e.g., mortgage documents, insurance forms, regulatory filings).
- Experience providing customer service to internal and external stakeholders while maintaining high-quality standards and ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Strong collaboration experience needed for communicating with teams, management, and licensing agencies.
- Strong analytical and project management skills to handle high-volume licensing workloads.
- Organization and follow-up skills are critical to success in this role.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word (e.g., document editing, formatting, spell check, and printing functions).
