About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Pet Food Operations Specialist to join our 2nd shift team at our state-of-the-art pet food manufacturing facility in Auburn, Kentucky. This individual will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient movement of finished products within the warehouse.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive packaged product/finished goods from the Production department, verifying it meets established quality assurance standards.
- Stock product in an efficient, orderly, and timely manner to support outbound operations.
- Operate fork trucks, turret trucks, and electric pallet jacks in a safe and efficient manner.
- Loading and unloading trucks from and to vendors/distributors.
- Perform order picking and refill processes to support inventory management.
- Use hand-held scanners to accurately record product information into the Warehouse Management System.
- Ensure pallet license plates correctly display product details.
- Maintain awareness and understanding of quality assurance standards.
- Represent Champion Petfoods at community-sponsored events.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years' experience operating forklifts and/or working in a warehouse environment.
Working Conditions:
This role operates on a Monday-Friday schedule, 3:00pm-11:30pm, within a clean and modern facility with new equipment.
