Job Summary~ We are seeking a Full Charge Bookkeeper to support our accounting department.
- We are a cloud based firm. We work primarily with Xero, Divvy, BILL, ADP RUN, APPROVAL MAX and the Google Suite.
- We work primarily on Apple computers and rely heavily on leveraging technology in our accounting workflow. Due to the nature of our work, computer proficiency and the ability to pick up new programs is a must.
- We are looking for a hard-worker, a quick study, and someone with a positive "can-do" attitude.
- The Bookkeeper plays a vital role on our team and we are looking for someone with solid accounting and customer service skills.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Accounting responsibilities include: Full charge bookkeeping (data entry, A/P, payroll processing, coding transactions, bank reconciliation, preparing profit & loss statements, balance sheets, and other accounting functions)
- This position serves multiple clients simultaneously therefor it requires organization, attention to detail, and an ability to consistently produce a high volume of work while meeting their weekly deadlines.
- You must be able to follow directions, work independently, and prioritize. The ideal candidate would have a desire to grow with our firm and take on additional responsibilities.
- You Meet periodically with clients to review deadlines and discuss outstanding items.
- 85% of your time will be working processing data and 15% engaging with clients and management.
Qualification and Skill Requirements
- AA degree, business, finance, or accounting required (4 year degree in Accounting a plus). *Or 4 years of verifiable accounting experience.
- 2 years of current, relevant experience in an office setting.
- A solid understanding of accounting principles.
- Experience in cloud-based technologies.
- Must be comfortable working with churches/faith-based non-profits.
- Must be able to work additional hours as required.
- Able to manage multiple clients with revolving deadlines.
