Job Summary: The Bookkeeper will be responsible for recording and organizing the company's financial transactions, maintaining general ledgers, reconciling accounts, and ensuring compliance with applicable standards. This role requires proficiency in accounting software, strong attention to detail, and excellent organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions, including purchases, expenses, sales revenue, invoices, and payments.
General Ledger Maintenance: Record financial data into general ledgers, which are used to produce the balance sheet and income statement.
Account Reconciliation: Perform regular reconciliations of bank statements and resolve any discrepancies.
Accounts Payable and Receivable: Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate handling of all transactions.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with applicable standards, rules, regulations, and systems of internal control.
- Payroll Processing: Manage and process payroll, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in bookkeeping or a related role.
Software Proficiency: Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or similar platforms.
Skills: Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational and communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
