Change The Play is seeking a dedicated and energetic After-School Sports Facilitator to join our team, helping students in grade 5 stay active and engaged. The facilitator will lead basketball drills, organize kickball games, and oversee other physical activities that promote teamwork, fitness, and fun. This role is perfect for individuals passionate about youth development, sports, and fostering a positive, active environment.
Responsibilities:
- Lead structured sports activities, including basketball drills and kickball games.
- Encourage participation and teamwork among students.
- Ensure the safety of all participants during activities.
- Foster a fun, inclusive, and supportive atmosphere.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to students to improve their physical and social skills.
- Manage equipment and activity space, ensuring a clean and organized environment.
Qualifications:
- Experience in sports coaching or youth facilitation, particularly in basketball.
- Passion for working with middle school students.
- Ability to motivate and engage young people in physical activities.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- CPR/First Aid certification is a plus.
Schedule:
- Twice a week for 3 hours (6 hours total per week).
