What are the responsibilities and job description for the Process Production Engineer position at Channel Personnel Services?
Ø Responsible for safe and efficient operation a chemical production unit
Ø Monitor plant operation, product yields, manufacturing costs, and operating activity and feed information into month end closing
Ø Track monthly inventory and raw material usage to complete and submit Month End Report
Ø Provide technical assistance to operators and recommend improvements
Ø Duties include troubleshooting process plant operating problems, product quality, equipment reliability and safety data
Ø Assist with incident investigations using root cause analysis and develop solutions to prevent recurrences
Ø Analyze process information and develop recommendations for improving the process, participate in plant trials, participate in process design & capital project implementation
Ø Review project documents to ensure technical feasibility and ease of operation
Ø Provide process knowledge to Maintenance or Project Engineering personnel to aid in the specification and/ or maintenance of process equipment, instruments and controls
Ø Responsible for process and equipment changes and Management of Change process for the unit, specifically with creating MOCs and completing Design Safety Reviews
Ø Write and revise Standard Operating Procedures. Assist with operator training when required
Ø Spend time in the control room and the field to listen to the ideas of technicians and shift leaders to gather ideas for safety and production improvements
Ø Develop project scopes for input into the Capital Project Group
Ø Respond to plant emergencies
Ø Keep unit manager informed of all operation issues
Ø Revise PIDs for project scopes or changes from MOCs
