What are the responsibilities and job description for the Aeronautics/Aviation/Aerospace Science & Technology Instructor position at CHAREM ISD and our local districts?
Location:
Pellston Regional Airport (PLN)
Duties:
- Develop and maintain a course description, course outline, daily lesson plans based on segmented course objectives
- Develop a scope and sequence for the program
- Provide a work based learning experience for each student, each year
- Update the CIP Self-Review each year
- Ability to work with high school students of all ability levels
- Maintain and supply necessary information for articulation with colleges, universities and tech schools
- Keep teacher certification current through local and state professional development opportunities
- Assess and measure student growth
Qualifications and requirements:
- Current FAA Medical
- Have or be eligible for a valid Michigan Teaching Certificate AND a certified Flight Instructor with Ground Instructor ratings OR be eligible for Annual Authorization (4,000 hours of recent and relevant work experience in the industry)
Job Length:
School Year 2025-2026 – 3 hours per day; 12 p.m. - 3 p.m.

$40.60/hour
