Charps, headquartered in Clearbrook, MN, has maintained a solid reputation as a preferred pipeline contractor in the energy industry for the last 20 years and we are looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our team. The position will incorporate a wide range of responsibilities in all areas of project management, including project planning, cost management, time management, estimating, quality management, contract administration and safety management. Charps performs work throughout the country and covers various scopes within the pipeline industry.
Expectations :
In this role you will be expected to ensure that construction activities move according to a predetermined schedule while overseeing project accounting functions including managing the budget, tracking expenses and minimizing exposure and risk in the project. You will serve as the first point of contact for customers and will be responsible for managing contracts. Your ability to maintain strict adherence to budgetary guidelines, quality and safety standards will be vital to the position. You will have the opportunity to work with field leaders and site crews to ensure a successful project. This position offers flexible travel and will allow you the freedom to manage projects large and small.
Qualifications :
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in project management and / or a bachelor’s degree in construction management or engineering
- Experience in pipeline construction / maintenance, Primavera P6, and B2W are a plus
- Applicants must have excellent communication skills along with the ability to motivate and lead teams while maintaining and enhancing client relationships.
- Effective time management skills, logical decision-making abilities and the capacity to handle pressure are essential.
- Flexibility to travel for short periods of time to project sites.
