What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounts Payable Manager position at CHD Brand?
Center for Human Development (CHD), is seeking an Accounts Payable Manager to join our team at our Corporate Office in Springfield, MA. You will be involved in all aspects of the Accounting (Fiscal Services) department that supports a large multi-faceted Agency that serves people in need of human services.
YOUR ROLE AS AN ACCOUNTS PAYABLE MANAGER:
In the Accounts Payable Manager role, you will work within the Agency's team model, establishing open communication, support, and accountability among co-workers. Duties to include, but are not limited to:
- Analyze expenditures of various contracts.
- Analyze trends and make recommendations based on data.
- Meets with Program Directors to analyze budgets.
- Assists Program Directors in preparing budget amendments and new fiscal year budgets.
- Coordinates, supervises, and prioritizes the activities and tasks of the Accounts Payable Department to ensure the high quality of functioning of the department.
- Conducting regularly scheduled meetings of the department to ensure communication among members of the department.
- Provides supervision, support, and training to staff and Accounts Payable Department.
- Hires, evaluates, disciplines, and makes recommendations for evaluation of department staff.
- Delegates appropriate tasks to staff.
REQUIRMENTS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from an accredited education institution, completed or in progress.
- 2 to 5 years of general accounting experience.
- 2 to 5 years of Management experience.
- Valid Driver’s License and reliable vehicle for work purposes.
- All candidates must complete and pass background record screening.
