Job Description

The position resides on our Programs Team and reports to the Senior Coordinator of SFI/TLB. This Coordinator role is responsible for technical support to the School Food Institute (SFI) and The Lunch Box (TLB).

The School Food Institute is a series of video-based online courses leveraging Chef Ann Cooper’s extensive expertise in leading school food programs through a transition to serving whole, fresh, healthy foods to kids. Course topics cover everything necessary to make sustainable changes to school food operations.

The Lunch Box is an online toolkit that provides free step-by-step guides, tools, recipes, and other resources to help schools improve their meal programs and convert to scratch cooking.

Key Responsibilities

Program Coordination:

  • Responsible for SFI technical assistance and customer service to troubleshoot user experience issues and ensure the delivery of high-quality educational programs to school food operators and program participants;
  • Organizes and analyzes program metrics to support the identification of opportunities for further engagement with website/resource users, and supports the creation of reports and presentations to visualize metrics;
  • Performs ongoing organization and maintenance of relevant and active content for the TLB website and SFI learning management systems, including updating resources and recipes; ensuring course, platform, and app consistency; and streamlining processes and procedures between programs (TLB and SFI) to improve user experience;
  • Implements and maintains organizational systems and SOPs for teamwork areas (naming conventions, file, data organization, etc.) and resource use by Programs and School Food Operations team members, with high attention to detail and creativity
  • Ensures SFI and TLB are implemented at the highest level and represent the organization’s commitment to quality, results-driven programming;

External Collaboration:

  • Provides top-notch customer service and technical assistance to school food operators and advocates enrolled in the School Food Institute and users of The Lunch Box;
  • Communicates with technical and lay audiences about online learning platforms and websites while collaborating with team members to provide troubleshooting assistance, content updates, and technology improvements.

Internal Collaboration:

  • Works both independently and collaboratively with internal partners (Programs, School Food Operations, Research & Evaluation, Marketing, and Development) to leverage work and knowledge;
  • Organizes and analyzes program metrics for monthly progress reports and quarterly program reports (usage, trends, qualitative and quantitative data, etc.)

Marketing:

  • Collaborates with the supervisor and the Marketing team to ensure websites and resources meet organizational brand guidelines;
  • Supports public presentations of program information via webinars, presentations, and collaborations with the Marketing, Workforce, and School Food Operations teams, as directed.

Strategic Thinking & Execution:

  • Collaboratively identifies changes and ongoing improvements for SFI and TLB;
  • Helps manage SFI and TLB at the highest level and represents the organization’s commitment to quality, result-driven programming.

Evaluation:

  • Collaborates with the supervisor and the Research & Evaluation team to execute the program evaluation plan;
  • Contributes to background information collection, data collection, and report creation.

Funding:

  • Supports supervisor in collaboration with the Development team on funder presentations, communications, and reporting by collecting and analyzing program metrics.

Policy:

  • Maintains understanding and awareness of federal and state policies as they relate to program strategy/operations.

Technology:

  • Regularly updates activity in Salesforce and Asana;
  • Supports Online Resources and Research & Evaluation teams with data tracking, analysis, visualization, and reporting with Google Sheets and Qualtrics;
  • Supports technology integrations in collaboration with the Technology team, including program applications, program reporting, troubleshooting, testing, and implementing technology updates on all SFI/TLB platforms, including Moodle, Vimeo, Craft, Health-E Pro, Cuttlesoft, Qualtrics, AccessiBe, Arlo, Stripe, etc., as directed.

Other duties as assigned within the scope of this position.

Position Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; 
  • Minimum of 2 years of demonstrated work experience in program and project management;
  • Ability to work virtually; occasional travel required (roughly 10%).

Preferred Education, Formal Training, and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree;
  • Experience in K-12 school food operations;
  • Experience with child nutrition program software;
  • Experience in technology management, including multiple technology platforms, learning management/resource management systems, and multimedia players;
  • Experience with data analysis and data visualization;
  • Experience using project management platforms (CAF uses Asana).

Certifications

  • School Food Institute Gold Certificate (completing all 11 courses and assignments) - obtained after hire.

Compensation

Compensation ranges between $48,825 - $62,640 per year and will be commensurate with the candidate’s previous experience and credentials. The Chef Ann Foundation is a great place to work.
