About the Opportunity
Chelsea Piers is seeking to hire a seasonal Camp Nurse to provide as-needed care for our campers throughout the summer. Our 2025 camp season is June 9th through August 29th.
As part of our team, you will be responsible for treating illnesses, injuries and other medical conditions as needed. This job is perfect for a school nurse on summer break, or a part-time nurse looking to pick up some extra shifts.

You are a team player, willing to cover or trade shifts when necessary.
Primary Responsibilities

Treat illnesses, injuries and other medical conditions that occur throughout the camp day as needed.

Handle, store and administer medications for campers.

Communicate with parents and other camp personnel as needed regarding camper health and safety.

Be an essential part of Chelsea Piers’ Emergency Action Plan.

Data entry, data sorting, filing, log keeping and email communication.
Qualifications

Registered nurse with valid Connecticut license.

Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to communicate effectively and professionally with campers, parents, staff and medical personnel.

Meticulous administrative skills.

Gentle, patient, caring personality with medical skills necessary to ensure the safety of all people in camp.

Experience working with youth preferred.
Compensation: $40/hour
Schedule: June 9th-August 29th, Camp hours are 8:15pm-4;15pm on weekdays, flexible days
