The IT Manager - Business Systems oversees the daily operations of the IT application support team, ensuring timely issue resolution, optimal application performance, and robust security practices. This position involves mentoring and developing staff, managing budgets, and collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure seamless application integration and support.
Responsibilities
- Mentor and develop a team of IT professionals specializing in application support and maintenance.
- Oversee daily application support operations, ensuring timely issue resolution and minimizing downtime.
- Monitor application performance and proactively ensure optimal functionality and user experience.
- Lead incident management processes, including troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
- Ensure adherence to SLAs and performance metrics, maintaining high levels of service delivery.
- Implement and maintain robust security practices to protect applications and ensure compliance with security policies and standards.
- Collaborate with IT teams, business stakeholders, and vendors for seamless application integration and support.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and efficiency gains.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of processes, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
- Manage budgets related to application support and maintenance, optimizing resource allocation and cost-effectiveness.
