Headquartered in Valencia, CA the Sunvair Aerospace Group is an aerospace leader specializing in landing gear and hydraulic component overhaul, avionics, HVOF, and cargo systems. Currently we are seeking an experienced, detail oriented, and high energy individual for the position Director of IT & Business Systems to be responsible for the successful delivery and organizational integration of our business systems, including Quantum, ERP, Microsoft product solutions and all other IT systems and applications.  The selected candidate will ensure efficient workflow across the design, delivery, management and strategic direction of all the company’s business systems and platforms and will be responsible for managing and ensuring robust internal and external security, including accessibility, firewall, anti-virus, and disaster recovery. Finally, this position is also responsible for maintaining company internet (wired and wireless), telephone systems and physical security (alarms systems). This is a full-time remote position which requires periodic travel to Group Business Unit locations.

Job Responsibilities

·        Serve as the company’s business solution architect: Understand business drivers and business capabilities (current and future state) and determine corresponding solution architecture design and change requirements to drive targeted business outcomes.

·        Provide subject matter expertise and leading edge-thinking on trends, methodologies, tools, and techniques to the organization.

·        Manage network and ERP system security matrices and ensure system security is consistent business objectives and organizational structure.

·        Lead the implementation of data cubes and integration of business data systems for financial and business system analysis.

·        Drive a coordinated approach to business process changes and technical system integration across all related operations to ensure the integrity of the overall design.

·        Coordinate the contributions of business functional leads, site leadership and managers, as well as business and support staff teams and stakeholders.

·        Ensure business system design and configuration work is conducted based on a well-developed solutions architecture and a detailed set of business, functional and technical requirements.

·        Work closely with all business teams including Accounting, Finance, HR, Sales, Supply Chain, IT Engineering and Operations to develop standardized business processes.

·        Manage and resolve complex business issues arising from the implementation of new processes or procedures, escalating decisions as appropriate to business leadership as needed.

·        Conduct analysis and predict industry trends to develop a strategic plan to maintain cost effectiveness and the availability of the IT infrastructure.

·        Oversee business system deployment planning and rollout: Work with business leadership and implementation vendors to create a comprehensive deployment and

location rollout strategy and plan. Oversee the effective rollout of all business system solutions.

·        Ensure that the business system infrastructure is implemented and managed to industry standards and best practices. 

·        Participate in policy and proposal to the senior management level regarding future direction and management of all business, information, and communication systems.

·        Provide technical and functional leadership of the business systems. Coach, mentor, and influence technical and business core team members.

·        Provide business system project and change management oversight.

·        Meet with departments / business units regularly to formally assess needs and opportunities for improvement.

·        Oversee and participate in hardware and software related projects to ensure optimal resource utilization.

·        Manage business system related projects according to budgets and schedules.

·        Oversee and ensure technology related to security best practices.

·        Assume business system related vendor management roles and responsibilities, including contract negotiations and vendor selection.

·        Leverage external technology partners for assistance with design, implementation and troubleshooting of advanced technologies.

·        Develop and execute strategic business system plans that align with business goals and objectives.

·        Evaluate, write, and manage business system policies.

·        Develop and manage the department budget on a monthly and annual basis.

·        Lead business processes optimization efforts through process improvement, automation, and reengineering.

·        Supervise all business system administrators as needed in association with system backups, restorations, troubleshooting network related application issues, application testing, performance and event log monitoring, critical system changes, etc.

Desired Skills

·        Bachelor’s degree in computer science, MIS or other related field, or equivalent work experience.

·        Extensive experience with MS Power BI setups, report writing and data analysis.

·        Minimum ten years IT management / leadership experience with a proven history working with cross-functional teams, senior level management and business stakeholders.

·        Strong understanding of business, operational, financial and supply chain operational process flows.

·        Strong interpersonal communication and relational skills, good organizational and project management skills; sound judgment; initiative; flexibility.
