Position Summary:
The CFDC Office Manager will be responsible for managing and coordinating a variety of administrative and communication tasks for Cherokee Farm Development Corporation and the Spark Innovation Center. Reporting to the CEO & President, the Office Manager will oversee and coordinate office operations and daily business functions. In addition, the Office Manager will engage with the staff and entrepreneurs working in the Spark Innovation Center. The Office Manager will provide administrative support as needed for the CFDC Executive Team.
Job Type: Full Time/Salaried
Schedule: 40hrs per week / Non-Remote, On-Site, In-Person

Major Duties/Responsibilities
- Meeting Scheduling and Communications
- Drafting agendas for meetings as needed, including weekly staff meetings and facilities
- Managing and organizing team calendars
- Assisting with planning and execution of both virtual and in-person meetings
- Manage communications with the CFDC and CFPI Board of Directors, working closely with the CEO to develop schedules and agendas, distribute board packages, and develop and distribute meeting minutes
- General Office and Financial Duties
- Record-keeping and maintaining of hard copy and electronic corporate files
- Reconciling receipts and invoices with monthly credit card statements and sending to accountants
- Scheduling and managing travel arrangements and expenses for the team
- Collecting and placing office supply orders
- Conducting general research and data entry
- Checking and distributing mail and delivering checks to the UT Research Foundation accounting office
- Maintaining record and upkeep of CFDC external accounts
- Performing other duties as assigned
- Event Assistance
- Assist in events scheduled by the CFDC and Management Teams including set-up, tear down, catering, space scheduling, technology and AV management, etc.
- Reviewing and approving outdoor event space requests for the research park
- Being available to assist with occasional after-hours events
- Supporting entrepreneurial programming for the Spark Innovation Center as needed
- University and Park Tenant Communications
- Interfacing with the University of Tennessee back-office systems, the Office of Innovative Technologies, Facilities Managers, and Building Managers on behalf of Cherokee Farm Development Corporation
- Be a point of contact for Research Park tenants as needed

- Professional demeanor and presence to promote a business-like environment
- Maintain consistent work schedule during core hours to meet needs of staff
- Sensitivity for people and experience dealing with diverse personalities and backgrounds in academia, science and business
- Experience in Administrative experience supporting multiple leaders, departments, and projects. A 4-year degree is preferred by not required.
- Proficient with Zoom and Microsoft Teams Virtual Meeting Platforms
