What are the responsibilities and job description for the CDC Accounting Assistant I, II position at Cherokee Nation?
Assists in the preparation of reports and analytical review of documentation processed for compliance with both federal laws and regulations and Cherokee Nation (CN) policies and procedures while making sure deadlines are met.
Job Duties:SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Associate's degree from 2-year college or technical school in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration; or two years (60 credit hours) coursework from 4-year college or university; or three years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT
At least five (5) years of related experience in a related field.
COMPUTER SKILLS
An individual should have knowledge of Accounting software; Database software; Internet software; Payroll systems; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
Must have advanced computer and data input skills as well as a 10-key calculator by touch ability. Must possess analytical skills. Must be knowledgeable in bookkeeping and have the ability to perform transactional analysis and research.
