JOB SUMMARY: Assist the Directors of Equity, Culture, and Community Engagement in building the knowledge, skill, will, and capacity within Cherry Creek Schools to create and sustain equitable experiences for all students. Develop, implement, and evaluate strategies at the school and district level aimed at eliminating barriers to student success related to ability, socioeconomic status, gender, race, and other factors. Collaborate with building administrators, staff, families, and community partners to deliver ongoing professional development opportunities that promote equitable outcomes for students.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The subsequent duties outline the fundamental operations of the position and exemplify the nature of the tasks carried out. Partner with district departments and school teams to provide guidance and support to educators in the integration of culturally responsive content, resources, and instructional strategies.

Help educators understand how to use students’ cultural backgrounds as assets in the learning process, ensuring that all students respected and supported.

Work collaboratively to examine the systems and structures within schools that promote student success and addressing those that serve as barriers to students’ growth and development.

Support school teams in deepening their knowledge, skill, will, and capacity to lead conversations in buildings that promote student success. Assist administrators and school teams with planning site-based professional development, identifying opportunity gaps, and recommending possible solutions to address such gaps.

Lead professional development for educators and staff, both in-person and online, focused on enhancing cultural awareness, anti-bias training, and equity.
Weekly 10%
Create, monitor, and oversee Transformational Equity Series courses.
Monthly 5%
Work collaboratively with community organizations, families, and external partners to promote and sustain inclusive practices, foster community engagement, and amplify student voice.
Monthly 5%
Collaborate and support the instructional coaches, instructional partners, and program coordinators to align and address specific learning goals and district initiatives.

Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.

- Criminal background check and fingerprinting required
- Master's degree in Education Administration, Curriculum & Instruction, Educational Leadership, or similar field
- Experience leading adult learning: Professional Learning Communities (PLCs), staff development, coaching and mentoring, etc.
- Experience leading conversations and effectively engaging with differing viewpoints and listening to critical perspectives
- Colorado Department of Education (CDE) teaching license
- Colorado driver’s license
- Strong ability to work both independently and collaboratively with diverse teams
- Adaptability to changing priorities, demands, and timelines
- Skilled in planning, organizing, prioritizing, and meeting deadlines
- Sound judgment and decision-making abilities
- Commitment to ongoing professional development, including active participation in district initiatives
- Proficient in interpreting data to identify opportunity gaps or disproportionalities
- Strong knowledge of equity frameworks, cultural responsiveness, and educational policy
- Experience working in K-12 education, with a focus on diversity, inclusion, or social justice
- Advanced verbal and written communication skills
- Basic knowledge of typical office equipment such as telephones, copiers, fax machines, email, etc.
- Advanced organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to promote and follow the Board of Education policies, District policies, and building and department procedures, protocols, and guidelines
- Light work strength level (lifting or carrying up to 25 pounds)
- Primarily works indoors
