Chesapeake Turf LLC, is a local construction company positioned for additional growth which is requiring an expansion of our office support staff. We are looking for a full-time administrative assistant/receptionist with strong organizational, clerical and accounting or payroll experience and the desire to advance their office skills as opportunities for advancement become available. The ideal candidate will have a high aptitude and expertise in both Microsoft office and Adobe Pro applications. Our company is currently expanding with several upcoming positions and many opportunities to learn and grow. Option for part time positions may be available in the near future, and we encourage those with the necessary skills to request consideration for part time positions. This position does not offer a remote work option.

About us:
Chesapeake Turf LLC was formed in 1997 and is located in Salisbury, Maryland. Our projects are within the Tri-state area within a 100 mile radius. We work on federal, state and local construction projects consisting of installation of underground utilities, stormwater ponds, bio retention areas, grading and excavation. The projects often require wage scale reporting and considerably detailed payroll breakdowns based upon project wage requirements. These projects include university campuses, state parks, highway right of ways, and local government properties. Our company primarily works as a general contractor on most projects, while taking the role of a civil subcontractor on select large scale projects.
Ideal candidate possesses:
-Flexibility and insightfulness to adapt to changing company priorities.
-Demonstrate ability to work well with others in the office and in the field, by completing payroll data and production reports in a timely manner. Recognize variances and conflicts well in advance and coordinate with all vested parties to determine necessary corrections on a daily basis.
-Strong communication and procedure capabilities to encourage accuracy and consistency in payroll reporting from the field to include daily phone and text contact with employees to verify information as required.
-Ability to keep a log of required weekly, monthly, and quarterly payroll reporting requirements and ensure timely submission of all documentation.
Helpful skills:
*Experience with Quickbooks Workforce app, formerly known as Quickbooks Time or T-sheets (or other time keeping app)
*Scheduling experience (can include workforce and/or project goals)
*Bilingual of English and Spanish for ease of communication
*Experience with certified payroll/wage scale payroll and reporting
*Experience with quarterly payroll report filings
*Construction experience (can include exposure to construction procedures and/or cost coding systems)
*Experience with Sage Contractor 100 (formerly Master Builder)
