Exciting growing agricultural company is seeking an experienced Office Manager/Accounting Specialist for our team. This person would be responsible for directing and coordinating overall functions related to bookkeeping, accounting, accounts receivable and payable, invoicing and statements, and related activities. Will be responsible for accounts payable, accounts receivable, data entry, processing purchase order requests, and shipping documentation. Other administrative functions include overseeing insurance policies, vehicle titles & registrations. This position directly supports the management in a growing organization and the hire would be expected to have excellent people skill and understand customer service.
Responsibilities:
- Accounts Payable
- Accounts Receivable
- Bank Reconciliation
- Additional duties as needed
- Verify purchase orders and pay vendors accordingly
- Build customer invoices, ensuring all information is accurate and meets customer requirements
- Assist in designing new processes and procedures
- Sorts, alphabetize, and file
Qualifications:
Associates degree or higher preferred. May be substituted by 3-5 years of experience in all phases of accounting, including A/R, A/P, and Excel spreadsheets.
Proficient in Quickbooks. Excel and Quickbooks Point-of-Sale experience is a plus. Knowledge of Sage Intaact is a plus!
Able to maintain vendor and customer files in a clean, correct manner.
Organization and attention to detail is a must to track payables, receivables, customer files, insurance policies, etc.
Must be able to clearly articulate questions to and be able to be a flexible and dynamic problem solver.
This position requires a “team player” in many aspects such as day to day problem solving, interacting with other staff effectively, office organization, ordering of supplies, and maintaining a clean and orderly office. Having said that the candidate must be comfortable working alone in a rural office.
The position allows for flexible hours.
