You understand the critical role that accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) play in keeping dealership operations running smoothly. Whether handling vendor payments, reconciling statements, or processing incoming payments, you bring professionalism, accountability, and precision to everything you do. Location
This role will primarily office out of our centralized business office in The Colony, with occasional on-site work at our Corsicana dealership.
Responsibilities
- Accounts Payable (AP) Management:
- Process invoices, verify accuracy, and obtain necessary approvals.
- Ensure timely vendor payments while maintaining positive relationships.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
- Accounts Receivable (AR) Management:
- Process customer payments and apply them to the correct accounts.
- Monitor and follow up on outstanding balances to ensure timely collections.
- Prepare and send billing statements as needed.
- Financial Reconciliation & Reporting:
- Reconcile bank statements, general ledger accounts, and daily transactions.
- Assist in preparing financial reports for management review.
- Maintain accurate and organized financial records.
- Collaboration & Support:
- Work closely with the business office, sales, and finance teams to ensure seamless operations.
- Support audits and assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Assist with special projects and process improvements as needed.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Prior experience in AP/AR, accounting, or dealership business office operations preferred.
- Familiarity with automotive dealership accounting systems (Tekion experience is a plus).
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
- Ability to problem-solve, multitask, and communicate effectively.
- Clean driving record & valid driver’s license and willingness to travel as necessary.
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
- Occasional on-site work at our Corsicana dealership.
