Provides technical guidance on a wide range of air quality matters impacted by company operations and assets. Evaluates / determines regulation applicability.
Reviews proposed operational changes to ensure compliance. Evaluates / researches emissions controls, and emissions detection and quantification systems.
Develops and implements improvements in data collection, access, synthesis, interpretation, and reporting.
Supports major customers / clients and leads projects of medium scope and complexity under limited supervision. Detailed knowledge of most aspects of the work function.

Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to :
- Support the Pascagoula Refinery by providing environmental subject matter expertise and guidance to demonstrate day-to-day compliance with regulations and permit requirements.
- Conduct environmental reviews in support of the Management of change process (MOC) and environmental risk management process (ERMP)
- Interpret new and existing regulations, determine operational impacts, and support implementation of compliance programs or regulations as required.
- Represent the refinery during agency inspections.
- Participate in meetings before regulatory bodies, employees, and the public as necessary.
- Develop and provide facility training on environmental regulatory requirements.
- Manage monitoring and reporting requirements for compliance with the Refinery's Title V operating and construction permits.
- Manage emissions reporting for Greenhouse Gas regulations as well as internal and external air emissions reporting.
Required Qualifications :
- Strong technical computer and analytical skills including proficiency with tools to support those skills (Excel, power-point, Microsoft Office, spreadsheets)
- Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills; able to simplify complicated regulatory information for a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, HSE, or similar functional degree
- Demonstrated experience in interpreting and implementing environmental regulations, managing large quantities of environmental data, and developing efficient and accurate tools and work processes.
- Subject Matter Expert in Clean Air Act regulations and / or Title V permit.
- New Source Review air construction permitting knowledge / experience.
- Demonstrated experience in developing effective working relationships with regulatory agencies.
- Strong proficiency with petroleum refinery process units and environmental control technologies.
